Our recent trip to Delft and Scheveningen was wonderful! It was even better that we stayed under budget for the entire trip.
We drove out to Delft and Scheveningen for the day. This budget breakdown I will be showing the price we paid for three quarters a tank of gas. (Currently, a full tank of gas costs us 80 euro). We also stopped for breakfast at a truck stop, ate in Delft, ventured up a tower, paid for parking, ate some more in Schevenigen and came back home.–That was just to review.
Alright, here we go:
**Budget is based on two people traveling because it was my husband and I traveling.
(Current exchange rate is $1 to 1.18 Euro)
CATEGORY EURO PRICE DOLLAR PRICE
Breakfast 17.50 Euros $20.62
Snack/Beers 20.10 Euros $23.68
Tower Tour (Nieuwe Kerk) 8.00 Euros (4.00 euros per person) $9.43
Parking in Delft 10.00 Euros $11.78
Dinner in Scheveningen 40.00 Euros $47.13
Ice Cream 10.00 Euros $11.78
Parking in Scheveningen 10.30 Euros $12.13
Gas 60.00 Euros $70.69
TOTAL COST: 175.90 Euros $207.24
For under 200 Euros ( a little over $200) we hit two cities and got to see many things. Also, with how much I love the beach it was well worth it! I will also say too, that it did not take three quarters of a tank to get there and back, so it was probably less than $200 to do this adventure.
My husband and I like to explore the city itself and talk to people instead of spending a lot of money on tourist attractions.
Day trips are affordable and possible! Simply: Be aware of what you spend and anyone can go anywhere. I hope this budget breakdown helps you see that you can go on your own adventure.
